About Ron Gross Inc.
My name is Ronnie Gross Jr. with Ronald Gross Inc. We are a family owned and operated regional flatbed carrier out of Western Pennsylvania.
I’ll tell you a little bit about us.
- We have been in business since 1966.
- We travel East to MD, Eastern PA and Southern NJ. We do not go to New York City. West, we go as far as Chicago and Saint Louis. To the South, we go into KY and VA. We travel the I-70 and I-80 corridors primarily.
- Our drivers are home every weekend and usually a night or 2 during the week.
- Our equipment is late model tractors and lightweight aluminum flatbed trailers equipped with lightweight side kits (covered wagons).
- We pay percentage. You would start at 26% and work your way up to 28%. Our drivers average between $1,000 to $1,200 per week.
Our benefits package includes:
- 100% company paid health care for our drivers and their children. Coverage for spouses is available at a cost.
- Company paid family eye care plan.
- Company paid short term disability insurance.
- Company paid life insurance.
- Safety bonuses.
- A profit sharing program.
- A matching 401K retirement plan.
- Paid vacations and holidays.
- A $1,000 sign on bonus. Experienced steel haulers may qualify for up to $3,000 more.
